It's a sad fact of life that Cancer is likely to touch all of us, in some way, at some point in our lives. Hopefully not directly, but at some time we are likely to know someone - a friend or relative who has been affected by this most cruel of illnesses. Macmillan Cancer Support work tirelessly to improve the lives of people affected by Cancer by providing practical, medical and financial support and pushing for better cancer care. Macmillan Cancer Support rely on donations for 99% of their income so every penny we raise will help.

We have chosen Yorkhill Childrens Foundation in memory of Liam Sandison, a "Trials-mad" local lad from Fort William who is very sadly no longer with us and who was treated at Yorkhill.

Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow is a centre of excellence for the treatment of children and the Yorkhill Foundation aims to raise funds to provide all the 'extra' services and pieces of equipment for sick children and babies who are treated there. The Foundation provides everything from state of the art medical equipment to children's entertainers with their sole aim to make sick kids better and make their time in hospital more bearable.
