Bradford & District Wednesday evening summer series trials seem to be hitting the nail on the head , the 1st Trial attracted 19 entries, the 2nd 39, and the latest an excellent entry of 55 riders turned up at Town end farm on a very warm evening and enjoyed an 8 section 4 lap trial.
the format is 2 courses aimed at being easy and very easy so that all riders of any experience and ability can have a fun time riding nice and simple sections.
There are very experienced riders turning up on old twin shocks and the other extreme is 1st timers on small wheels all riding the same courses, its designed to be suitable for all manner of bikes and abilities from pre 65 machines, twin shock , modern and right through to the small wheeler's.
on the harder of the 2 courses there was 5 riders on clean, infact the scores didn't reach double figures until 24th position,
on the youth easier course Gabby Whitham had a cracking ride of 2 points which earnd her the spot prize of gift vouchers kindly donated by Kevin Feeney at Colin Appleyards Motorcycles.
On the adult easier course Les Thomas had a very good ride for 1 point and we even saw a very welcome return to trials by the Legend on his old OSSA of Mick Shorrock's better known for his observing duties around the area.
A very big thanks must go to Nathan for Sponsoring and setting the trials out ,and all the observers/ officals from the club who have been advising/helping the riders at the sections.
there will be 1 more round of the series on 11th August at Manor farm near Skipton see Bradford web site for futher details |
